What Happens to Your Images

• No Training: Your images are NOT used to train Google's AI models when processed through the Vertex AI API

YouTube Video Analysis

When you use our "Analyze YouTube Video" feature:

• We fetch publicly available video metadata (title, description, thumbnail, view count) via YouTube's official API
• We do not access private YouTube data or require your YouTube login
• Video metadata is cached temporarily (24 hours) to improve performance

How Long We Keep Your Data

Generated Thumbnails & Videos: Stored in your account until you delete them or delete your account.
Brand Kit Assets: Stored until you delete them from your Brand Kit or delete your account.
Account Information: Retained for the duration of your account. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.
Backup Data: Deleted within 90 days of account deletion.
Crash Logs: Retained for 30 days for debugging purposes, then automatically deleted.

Device Permissions

Permissions We Request

Banana Thumbnail requests the following device permissions:

Camera: To capture photos for thumbnail generation. Photos are only taken when you explicitly use the camera feature.
Photo Library / Media Library: To access photos you select for editing and to save generated thumbnails to your device.
Storage: To save generated thumbnails and videos to your device's gallery.
Internet: Required to communicate with our servers and AI processing services.

Permissions we do NOT request: Contacts, location, microphone, or background location access.

Your Rights and Choices

Account Management

• Access: View your account information and token balance in the app

Account Deletion Process

• Backup Removal: Data in backups is removed within 90 days
• Token Balance: Unused tokens are forfeited upon account deletion and are non-refundable

AI Training & Your Content

• SynthID Watermark: AI-generated images from Google's services may include an invisible SynthID digital watermark for authenticity verification
• No Data Mining: We do not analyze or mine your content for purposes other than providing the service
